What is EUROconnect?
Within EUROconnect, several European universities work together in the field of Traffic and Transportation
education and research. The main goal of EUROconnect is to bring the Traffic and Transportation education up
to a higher European standard. The main activity of EUROconnect is the organization of the course
MSc European Traffic and Transportation. The EUROconnect office is responsible for the day to day running
of the course. EUROconnect intends to become an initiator in programmes regarding research and development
in the field of Traffic and Transportation. In this way EUROconnect will become a European forum for the
scientific approach of problems in the field of Traffic and Transportation.

Wat is EUROconnect?
In 1996 zijn de de Nottingham Trent University (UK) en de Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden een verkeerskundig samenwerkingsverband aangegaan met als doel de verkeerskundige kennis in Europa op een hoger niveau te brengen. In dit kader hebben zij samen met
de Budapest University of Technology and Economics en de Université Montesquieu Bordeaux IV de opleiding MSc European
Traffic and Transportation ontwikkeld. De opleiding is in 1997 gestart en de eerste studenten zijn in 1999 afgestudeerd.
De coördinatie en organisatie van de opleiding is in handen van EUROconnect. EUROconnect is onderdeel van de
Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden en biedt naast de MSc opleiding ook een basiscursus verkeerskunde.
In augustus 2006 is de samenwerking van de Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden gewijzigd van Nottingham naar de Universiteit Hasselt (BE).
De structuur van de opleiding blijft gehandhaafd.
